Following the example of Patrice COUPECHOUX, chairman and managing director of the Group, fascinated by art, the COUPECHOUX Group is driven by all that touches artistic expression.
It is not by chance that the Group chose, in 2009, to install their new headquarters at the very centre of the creative district, on the Isle of Nantes, which brings together the driving forces from the region in all matters concerning design, culture and communication.
Equally emblematic of the interest by the Group to the most contemporary forms of art, is the audacious architecture of “Manny”. This building, housing their headquarters, equally houses two yearly works specially produced by the artists Rolf Julius and Angela Bulloch at the request of the Group.
More generally, the Group has invested in a cultural policy, which promotes innovation and increases the value of artistic heritage. Outstanding examples in the countryside of the estuary and the city of Nantes, the 18 monumental Rings of Buren, visible on the Quai des Antilles, were supported by the COUPECHOUX Group as a cultural partnership.
The Group has equally partnered the exhibition, « European ways of life » for the promotion of design, which has an international reputation. It regularly organises events around contemporary artists and designers.
